Omkar Chittar

Hello! I’m Omkar Chittar.

I’m a Software Engineer focused on AI Strategy & Solutions at Insight Global, where I lead AI integration and delivery across Universal Creative and Universal Destinations and Experiences. My work involves shipping GenAI solutions, building end-to-end RAG and agent workflows, and implementing LLM evaluation harnesses to ensure production-grade reliability.

Previously, as a Data Scientist at Insight Global, I spearheaded AI solutions for FOX Sports’ media post-production pipelines, building Slack AI agents, RAG conversational assistants, and automated metadata extraction systems at scale. Before that, at Sakar Robotics, I worked on stereo depth estimation, point-cloud registration, TSDF-based 6-DoF tracking, and reinforcement learning for robotic manipulation.

I hold a Master’s in Robotics from the University of Maryland (3.97 GPA), with coursework in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Computer Vision. I’m also passionate about education — I founded Sai Classes where I taught computer science and mathematics, and I currently mentor middle school students in robotics through First Lego League.

My work is driven by a belief in the transformative power of AI and technology. Whether it’s building intelligent agents, developing 3D vision systems, or mentoring the next generation of engineers, I aim to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world impact.
